What are Tarot Cards?
Twenty two out of the seventy eight individual cards in a deck belongs to major arcana or the greater arcana. And the remaining cards are under the minor arcana or the lesser arcana which are also divided into four suits. Most of the cards in major arcana were represented by different interesting and artistic symbolism. Even if there are different tarot decks that are already present in the market. The most common features include the picture of an object or a person, the card has a Roman numeral on the top or lower portion and of course, the name of the card.
Some cards in major arcana are the following; the fool, magician, high priestess, empress, emperor, hierophant, lovers, chariot, justice, hermit and, etc.
Some cards in minor arcana are the following; it has four different suits, and each suit consist of 14 cards. The suits are the ‘wand' ‘coins' ‘cups’ and the ‘swords.' Each of the suits has a king, queen, knight, page and ace to ten.
Obtaining a tarot card doesn’t mean that you can do the tarot reading properly. You also need to study more about it as well as memorizing all the important symbolisms, its meaning and all the possible tarot spreads. Yes, having the basic knowledge of tarot reading spread is very important. There are different kinds of spread, and each spread will depend on the problem that the client proposed to.
For example, if they just want to have a general reading then the reader will obviously use the general type spreads such as Celtic-cross and the like. If they are more concerned about their relationship problems, there are also spreads that specializes in the field. Even money or financial, career and health do have its own too.
Tarot reading is not just a mere reading process. The readers also obtain years of experience and knowledge for them to understand each card as well as its connection to their clients. They interpret it well because that is what they do best.
